Change is gonna come.....

Howdy friends :)

It's been a while since I've posted. So much has been going on. The coolest of which is the evolution of my new website!!!!! the slowwwwww evolution..

I'm not tech savvy. At all. In fact, technology generally runs away from me. My cell phone currently sports a cool cracked design and hardly works. I usually have to ask everyone and anyone I know to help me when it comes to computers. I simply don't have enough patience I guess... wish I were part robot or something and could just somehow connect to my techie things and magically figure it all out... no such luck.. so the website thang is taking far longer than I anticipated.

But it is coming...

So until then, my sessions will be posted on my Facebook page. I will post again here when my new site is ready to launch.... See ya'll soon!!!

Brianne + AJ {Expecting}- Cranford, NJ

I've been so excited to share this session.. it makes me smile.

My awesome friend and fellow photog, Brianne, is expecting a little nugget in a few months and was looking for some maternity shots that didn't include her being draped in fabric. She came to me...and she was a smart girl...because the fabric wrapped mommies-to-be are just not my thang. Beautiful- yes. But my style? Not so much... I'm more of a natural light, hanging out, stolen kisses type of photographer. After spending the day with Brianne and her hubby AJ, I was reminded why shoot in this way....and why I chose this profession..

I know you will see the same beauty I saw.. enjoy <3

Monday Rant- Oops, it's Tuesday...

Ok, this one will be quick..

because I'm mad at myself. So I'm on blog punishment. yea, I invented that. It's pretty brutal.

So.....
WHY DO I SUCK AT POSTING MY MONDAY RANTS????

Maybe Monday was the wrong day to choose...though by Monday night, I already have lots to rant about (if you know where I work during the day, you can easily say "Oooh Ok gotcha. Rant on girl. Rant on." But weekends are so crazy for me lately, that by Monday night, I'm all snuggled on the couch with my girls and C that I just simply.....forget.

I mean really.... look at that. Can you work at a time like that???

Not a good excuse, I know. But here's my thought- Monday Rant can become "Wednesday Rant"... or maybe one week "Thursday Rant'... guess what I'm getting at is-- I'll rant when a rant pops up. I've never been much of a planner anyway.... so this works.

Feel free to contact me with rant ideas or rants of your own! I'd love to respond with a blog post and see if we can find others to join our rant-army. Until then... I'll leave you with what I've been working on...

my shooting partner-in-crime Brianne Falisi of Brianne Falisi Photography... seriously the cutest preggo chick ever. :) more to come from our maternity session.....

Sneak Peek! Trevor [3 months]-Hopatcong, NJ

Becoming an aunt/godmother was one of the best moments in my life. Now that it's happened twice- no word other than ELATED will do.. it's surreal to be part of my nephew's lives. I'm the cool aunt- the one who plays, spoils, snuggles, and pretty much gives them whatever they want. .. ;) totally rules being the cool aunt.

Being able to help my sister capture their milestones is something that I truly appreciate.. It's one of the many amazing things about being a photographer.. Enjoy a little sneak peek of my nephew Trevor's 3 month photo shoot <3

Yes.. I know he is perfect. It's quite hard not to bite his little cheeks. <3 swoooon....

Rockstar for the night...Best In River performs {Fontana's Bar NYC}

It was a Friday night and I was exhausted from a full days work. I knew my night was NOWHERE near over and in some weird way, I was highly pumped about that.

Now normally, C and I would spend Friday nights with our pups, lounging on the couch watching crappy tv shows. And that would be just perfection for us. But tonight, we were off to Fontana's Bar in Manhattan for some good, old fashioned rock and roll. Ok, so a band that takes pop songs by artists like Lady Gaga and turns them into some serious punk rock wouldn't necessarily be called "old fashioned" but for all intensive purposes, we were prepared to rock our faces off... and that, my friends, we did..

Best In River is an NYC based band that merges new school pop with hard hitting punk rock. It's a twisted marriage, but man it works so well. You can't help but rage when you hear them... even with my camera in hand, I was jumping and singing!

Drummer, Chris Peterson says (when asked to describe the band)- "Stanger on guitar, Stu singing, Myles on bass and me. About us? Ummm hahah. We are a couple dudes just drinking some beers, rocking out and trying to relive the glory days of being in real bands." 'Nuff said... Enjoy some shots from when I got to be a rockstar for a night (and for those of you who know me... you KNOW I have a serious inner rockstar just dying to escape)

loving the random chucks on stage...

Lead singer Stu decided to the let some of the crowd take control for a bit...
